Digital Visitor has been announced as the digital partner for the UK Association of Science and Discovery Centres (ASDC).
At Digital Visitor, our mission is to inspire people to do the things worth doing. Which is why we’re incredibly happy to announce that we will be working in a partnership with the UK Association of Science and Discovery Centres (ASDC).
ASDC brings together over 60 of the UK’s major science engagement organisations. Together they engage over 20 million people with the wonders of science. ASDC is committed to working towards a society where people of all ages, genders, backgrounds and abilities have the opportunity to be involved, intrigued and inspired with the sciences, to explore science and feel a sense of shared ownership over its applications. Considering our closely aligned values, Digital Visitor are proud to be partnering with ASDC, supporting a move towards this goal.
On the announcement, Digital Visitor Co-Founder Simon Jones said, “I have always had such a respect for science centres and the work they do, which grew during my time managing Sea Life and At-Bristol (now We The Curious). Having worked both client and agency side, I think there is a lot of valuable knowledge to be shared. It’s a privilege to work with ASDC and their members and share our expertise.”
Shaaron Leverment, Deputy CEO of ASDC said, “I am delighted that Digital Visitor have become ASDC’s digital partner considering their commitment to and understanding of science centres and how to reach their audiences. They share our passion for encouraging people of all ages and backgrounds to have an opportunity to enjoy and explore science. I know that we will learn a great deal from each other.”
As part of their partnership, a portion of Digital Visitor’s revenue from working with ASDC’s members will go back into the ASDC charity to support the role ASDC plays in increasing the strategic and national impact of science centres and museums across the UK.
