He spent 15 years working client side for a range of attractions, including commercial attractions with Merlin Entertainments and the museum sector with one of the UK’s leading Science Centres, At-Bristol (now We the Curious), as well as running IMAX Cinemas. Simon then moved agency side and has spent over 10 years helping to shape and deliver digital marketing strategies for a wide range of organisations. Speaking about the announcement, Simon commented “I have been involved in Digital Visitor since its infancy, we have been on a great journey so far and I am thrilled to be tasked with the opportunity to take the agency forward even further.’ “I know the tourism sector well and I’m passionate about what it offers. By working with the fantastic destinations, experiences and products we are privileged to work with, we get to introduce people to places of knowledge, inspiration, and excitement. It’s these places that often give people their fondest memories and, through this, we’re proud that in some small way we have a part in enriching people’s lives.” “Our team works hard to achieve high quality results for our clients and to help drive visitors. I am proud of our achievements to date and look forward to helping to shape many more in the future.” Previous Managing Director, Anthony Rawlins, believes that this is the perfect timing for the agency. “Over the last few years, we have increasingly shifted our focus to the tourism sector and, in particular, the attractions space in the UK. Simon is uniquely qualified to drive the agency forward, with over 25 years of experience in the sector, both agency side and client side  and there simply isn’t a person better suited for this role at such an exciting time for Digital Visitor.” Anthony Rawlins remains involved with Digital Visitor and will move to the position of Founding Director, focusing on innovation and shaping new products and services for the agency.
