We are proud to announce that Digital Visitor has been selected by The Trout Hotel to create and deliver their new digital strategy.

The Trout Hotel is an idyllic lodge set in the Georgian town of Cockermouth. Dating back to 1670, this independent hotel has a rich history and has been the perfect base for those exploring the natural beauty of the Lake District for many years.

The Trout Hotel brought Digital Visitor on board to develop and implement a best-in-class digital strategy including media buying and support with content marketing production. This activity will raise awareness of the hotel and attract visitors to stay from across the UK in their riverside retreat.

With 49 chic bedrooms, this hotel is the perfect getaway.  Offering award-winning experiences to enhance their guests’ stay including multiple dining options, golfing experiences and a spa. The hotel is also linked to the nearby Lakes Distillery, so it can also arrange a variety of tasting and distillery tours for its guests.

After 32 years of ownership of the Hotel we have never used this type of marketing on this scale before, however, we are delighted with the results to date and even more delighted to be working with a business that drives thought leadership on the use of digital marketing to further drive sales through our business. We look forward to many years of a successful partnership.

Nigel Mills Director, Trout Hotel

Digital Visitor Managing Director, Simon Jones, was incredibly proud to be selected. “All signs are pointing that for holiday bookings this year, most people will be looking somewhere a lot closer to home. Now is a great time to reach out to the UK audience through digital channels and we’re excited to help raise awareness of such a beautiful and iconic resort.”

The Trout Hotel joins other iconic tourism businesses in the Digital Visitor roster, including National Marine Aquarium, Royal Museums Greenwich and Zipworld.
